We’re Leaning In

According to a recent Texas Land Trends report, the population in Texas is increasing by 1,200 people per day.  This is resulting in over 1000 acres lost daily to fragmentation and development.

Gazing across the vistas of the Hill Country we see the ravages of development in realtime.  This is why the Cibolo Conservancy is shifting gears and leaning in!

We are doubling down on Brent’s legacy of land conservation that has preserved over 14,000 acres, as well as his civic engagement that resulted in a combined $25 Million in conservation funding for Kendall County.

To ensure that public funds are put to their highest and best use, the conservancy is serving as a consultant to Kendall County’s Proposition A Committee.  We know that the success of the county’s conservation initiative is fundamental to the promotion and passage of bonds in other counties throughout the Hill Country.

Through collaborative partnerships, public presentations, and community conservation efforts, we are rapidly expanding our presence throughout the region and energizing landowner’s interest in conservation.

In 2024, we will have conducted 8 outreach and education programs to promote conservation in the Texas Hill Country and educate both landowners and the public about the merits of conservation easements.

New branding and marketing materials are also in the works to inspire landowners who cherish the natural splendor of their land to conserve it.

We are seeing significant interest in conservation and look forward to announcing many new easements that are currently in the pipeline and will be added to our portfolio in the months ahead.

We know that saving the natural beauty and life giving resources of our region will require an unprecedented effort by not only our conservancy, but of our community as a whole.

We are truly grateful for your support and we invite you to lean in with us in our mutual effort to safeguard the Hill Country.  Your financial donations fuel our efforts and lending your voice to spreading the word about conservation easements to your friends and neighbors helps us to fulfill our mission.

Together we are conserving what our friend Brent fondly calls “The Sweet Spot of Texas.”
