Conserving Land with Kendall County Bond Initiative

Kendall County’s $20 Million Bond for parkland and conservation of open space is already scoring some big wins.  This bond passed with 67% approval thanks to the leadership of the Cibolo Conservancy.  We are currently advising a committee that has been formed to source conservation opportunities and advise the county commissioners regarding the use of this funding.

The Commissioners recently approved funding for 5 conservation easements in the county, conserving almost 1000 acres of land.   The Cibolo Conservancy will hold 3 of these conservation easements, safeguarding 490 acres along the Guadalupe River and north of Boerne in perpetuity.

Please spread the word about Prop A!  Kendall County landowners who are interested in seeking funding from the county are encouraged to learn more by reaching out to the Cibolo Conservancy and contacting Ben at: b.eldredge@ciboloconservancy.org or 830-203-6545.
